It turns out that many countries have their own take on the humble bread loaf. Australians like to hollow out their bread, fill it with gooey cheese and serve it as a party centrepiece: calling it Cob Loaf.<br><br> Meanwhile, Germans have fashioned a flatbread-tart hybrid, lathered it in creme friache, sizzled it flames, and named it Flammekuche (&quot;pie baked with flames&quot;).  In Switzerland, Zopf's dough is neatly braided and given a crust that's as shiny as possible, while the US’s cornbread is bright yellow and crumbly thanks to its key ingredient, ground corn.

The Netherlands’ stewed pears, or Stoofperen, is not only a popular dessert, it’s also a common side dish to rabbit!<br><br> Knäck, a soft toffee frequently made by Swedes at Christmas, consists entirely of heavy cream, thick syrup and sugar. And in France, the almond pastry cake, Galette de Rois, is made with a hidden trinket inside for eaters to find as a prize. As for New Zealand, it turns out that Lolly Cake is unheard of outside of the island!

Do I have to receive my box immediately after I redeem my gift?

Your gift card recipient will receive an email on the specific day that you indicate. This email will contain step-by-step instructions on how to redeem the gift card. If you chose to print the gift card at home, it’s up to you to hand them their gift!

When will the person I am sending a gift card to receive it?

Nope! We only ask you to log in or create an account so we can send you an order confirmation but this will not result in a subscription.

Do I have to have a HelloFresh subscription to purchase or redeem a gift card?

We don’t yet support buying multiple cards on the same order but you can go through the purchasing process several times without having to create a new account.

Can I purchase more than one gift card?

Yes, you will receive an email confirmation after purchasing a gift card. If you picked the ‘Print at Home’ option, this email will also include a printable card for you to download and give to the recipient. If the recipient(s) do not receive the email confirmation, we suggest they check their spam folders.

Will I receive an email confirmation for my gift card purchase(s)?

Unfortunately, we do not support this yet.

Can I buy a gift for someone who lives in a different country?

All of them! As long as the value is covered by your gift card you will not be charged. If you select recipes that exceed the value of your gift, you will be charged the difference. The value of each recipe is indicated on the Meal Selection page.

Which recipes can I choose from if I have a gift card?

If you have credit left on your account, it will automatically apply to your next delivery(ies) when you start a weekly subscription. Don’t worry, you can stop the subscription at any time! Go to Our Plans, select Plan Preferences, and complete checkout. The credit left from your gift will automatically be applied.
