Cooking Steps

Make the cheeseburger filling

• Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced.
• Thinly slice onion.
• Heat a large frying pan over high heat. Cook beef mince (no need for oil!) 
and onion, breaking up with a spoon, until just browned, 4-5 minutes.
• Add All-American spice blend and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Season 
to taste with salt and pepper. 

Assemble the filo-wrapped bites

• On a flat surface, evenly stack 2 sheets of filo pastry with a drizzle of olive 
oil between each layer.
• Spoon half the beef mixture, onion chutney and shredded Cheddar 
cheese down the long side of the filo sheet then roll the pastry over into a 
log shape.
• Evenly stack another 2 sheets of filo pastry and repeat with remaining beef
mixture, onion chutney and cheese to make 2 logs.
• Cut each log into 10 even pieces (you should have 20 in total). 

Bake the filo-wrapped bites

• Place filo-wrapped bites 3cm apart on a lined oven tray.
• In a small bowl, whisk the egg.
• Brush the egg wash over the top of the filo-wrapped bites and sprinkle over 
sesame seeds. Bake until golden and crisp, 12-15 minutes.


TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide between two trays.

• Place beef cheeseburger filo-wrapped bites on a serving platter. 
• Serve with burger sauce. Enjoy!
