Cooking Steps

Bake the fries
1
  • Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Cut potato into fries.
  • Place on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and toss to coat.
  • Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.

TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide between two trays.

  • Meanwhile, finely shred cos lettuce.
  • Cut halloumi into 1cm-thick slices.
  • In a medium bowl, combine pork mince and all-American spice blend.
  • Spread pork mixture evenly over one side of each flatbread.
Cook the cheeseburger flatbreads & halloumi
3
  • When the fries have 10 minutes remaining, in a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Return frying pan to medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Cook halloumi until golden brown, 1-2 minutes each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Cook flatbreads meat-side down until pork is just cooked through, 4-5 minutes (cook in batches if your pan is getting crowded).
  • Carefully transfer flatbreads, meat side up, to a second lined oven tray and sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese. Bake until golden and cheese is melted, 3-5 minutes.
Finish & serve
4
  • Divide smashed pork cheeseburger flatbreads between plates. Top each flatbread with some cos, halloumi and drizzle over burger sauce. Serve with fries and any remaining cos. Enjoy!

ELEVATE ME: If you've added extra ingredients to your recipe, top flatbreads with mashed avocado, sprinkle over grated mozzarella and drizzle over hot sauce to serve.
