• Cut potato into fries. • Set your air fryer to 200°C. Place fries into the air fryer basket, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and toss to coat. Cook for 10 minutes. Shake the basket, then cook until golden, a further 10-15 minutes. Divide between serving plates.
TIP: No air fryer? Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Place fries on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and toss to coat. Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.
• Meanwhile, thinly slice apple into sticks.
• In a shallow bowl, combine the plain flour and a pinch of salt. In a second shallow bowl, whisk the egg. In a third shallow bowl, place panko breadcrumbs and All-American spice blend. • Dip chicken breast strips into flour mixture to coat, then into egg, and finally in breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.
• In a large frying pan, heat enough olive oil to coat the base over medium-high heat. • Cook crumbed chicken in batches until golden and cooked through, 3-4 minutes each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. TIP: Add extra oil if needed so the crumbed chicken doesn't stick to the pan! TIP: Chicken is cooked through when it's no longer pink inside.
• If adding cheese to your burger, slice brioche hotdog buns in half lengthways then sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese. Bake buns directly on the wire oven rack until heated through, 5-7 minutes
• Spread each bun with burger sauce then fill with American crumbed chicken and some apple slaw. • Serve with fries and remaining slaw. Enjoy!
