Cooking Steps

Cook the egg noodles
1

• Boil the kettle. Half-fill a medium saucepan with
boiling water.
• Cook egg noodles over medium-high heat,
stirring occasionally with a fork to separate, until
tender, 4-5 minutes.
• Drain, rinse and set aside.

Get prepped
2

• Meanwhile, thinly slice capsicum.
• Roughly chop Asian greens.
• Cut onion (see ingredients) into thin wedges.
• Finely chop garlic.
• In a small bowl, combine oyster sauce, sweet
chilli sauce and the water (for the sauce).
Set aside.

Cook the wontons
3

• In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil
over medium-high heat.
• When oil is hot, add prawn & chive wontons,
flat-side down, in a single layer.
• Cook until starting to brown, 1-2 minutes. Add
the water (for the wontons) (watch out, it may
spatter!) and cover with a lid (or foil).
• Cook until the water has evaporated and
wontons are tender and softened, 4-5 minutes.
Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Cook the veggies
4

• Return the frying pan to medium-high heat with
a drizzle of olive oil.
• Cook capsicum and onion, until tender,
4-5 minutes.

Bring it all together
5

• Add soy sauce mix and garlic and cook until
fragrant, 1 minute.
• Add Asian greens, the oyster sauce mixture
and egg noodles, tossing to combine,
1-2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and
pepper.

Finish & serve
6

• Dividesweet soy egg noodles with veggies
between bowls.
• Top with prawn wontons.
• Garnish with a pinch of chilli flakes (if using) to
serve. Enjoy!

  • Flavour: Some found the dish lacking in flavour, suggesting adding extra fish sauce or oyster sauce to boost the Asian taste profile.
  • Ease of prep: Air frying the pot stickers worked well for some, with the whole family able to help prepare the meal.
  • Suggestions: Consider increasing the amount of sauce and Asian seasonings to enhance the overall flavour of the dish.
