Crispy fries and spiced popcorn chicken are smothered in rich gravy and melted Cheddar, then finished with bacon and spring onion for a soul-warming meal that’s all treat and less prep.

1 drizzle
vinegar (balsamic or white wine)

• Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced.
• Thinly slice spring onion (see ingredients).
• Place potato fries on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.
• In the last 5 minutes of cook time, remove from oven, sprinkle with
shredded Cheddar cheese and bake until just melted.

• In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
• Add diced bacon and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until golden, 6-7 minutes.

• SPICY! This is a mild spice blend, but use less if you’re sensitive to heat! On a large plate, combine one-step coater and Louisana spice blend. Add diced chicken and turn to coat evenly in the spice mixture. Transfer to a plate.
• Wipe out the frying pan, then return to medium-high heat with enough olive
oil to coat the base. Cook crumbed chicken, tossing in batches, until golden
and cooked through (when no longer pink inside), 5-6 minutes. Transfer to a
paper towel-lined plate.
TIP: Add extra oil if needed so the crumbed chicken doesn’t stick to the pan!
TIP: Don't dry your chicken, the moisture will help the crumb stick.

• In a medium heatproof bowl, combine gravy granules and the boiling
water (see ingredients), whisking until smooth, 1 minute.
• Divide cheesy fries between bowls . Top with popcorn chicken and bacon.
• Pour over gravy and sprinkle with spring onion to serve. Enjoy!
