Cooking Steps

Get prepped
1

• Boil the kettle. Trim and halve baby broccoli. Roughly chop Asian greens.
• In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
• Cook baby broccoli, until tender, 5-6 minutes.
• Add Asian greens and cook until just wilted, 1-2 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and season with salt and pepper.

Cook the noodles
2

• Meanwhile, half-fill a medium saucepan with boiling water.
• Cook egg noodles over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally with a fork to separate, until tender, 4-5 minutes.
• Drain, rinse and set aside.

Bring it all together
3

• Return frying pan to high heat.
• Cook beef mince (no need for oil!), breaking up with a spoon, until just browned, 3-4 minutes.
• Add sweet soy seasoning and cook until fragrant, 1 minute.
• Return cooked veggies to the pan, add egg noodles, Korean stir-fry sauce and the water and cook, tossing, until combined, 2-3 minutes.

Finish & serve
4

• Divide sweet soy beef noodle stir-fry between bowls to serve. Enjoy!

ELEVATE ME: If you’ve added extra ingredients to your recipe, thinly slice fresh chilli and slice lime into wedges. Sprinkle over crispy shallots and chilli. Squeeze over lime juice.

Review summary

Updated on Feb 2026
  • Flavour: Many found it tasty, but some felt it lacked flavour; adding soy sauce or sweet chilli sauce helped boost the taste.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and easy to prepare, making it a great weeknight meal option for busy families.
  • Suggestions: Consider using thicker noodles to prevent sogginess, and add extra vegetables for more colour and texture.
  • Portions: Some felt there were too many noodles compared to other ingredients; adding more meat or vegetables could balance the dish.
