Large Frying Pan

Cooking Steps

1
  • Roughly shred baby cos lettuce. Thinly slice tomato into rounds.
  • Place your hand flat on top of chicken breast and slice through horizontally to make two thin steaks.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine chicken steaks, peri-peri seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil.
2
  • In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken steaks until cooked through, 3-5 minutes each side (cook in batches if your pan is getting crowded).

TIP: Chicken is cooked through when it's no longer pink inside.

3
  • Place bake-at-home burger buns on a plate and microwave in 10 second bursts for 1 minute.
  • Halve buns and toast, cut-side down, in the frying pan over medium-high heat until golden, 3-4 minutes.

TIP: If you don't have a microwave, you can bake the buns straight on the wire rack at 180°C/160°C fan-forced for 3 minutes, or until heated through.

4
  • Spread burger bun bases with garlic aioli and peri peri sauce. Top with some cos lettuce, tomato and chicken.
  • Serve with corn chips. Enjoy!
