Cooking Steps

1

Preheat the oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Cut the potato into fries. Place on a lined oven tray. Season with salt, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle over the mixed sesame seeds and toss to coat. Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes. TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide between two trays.

2

While the fries are baking, place the pork sausages on second a lined oven tray and bake for 10 minutes. Turn the sausages and continue baking until browned and cooked through, 10-15 minutes.

3

While the sausages are baking, finely chop the garlic. Thinly slice the pear. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, soy sauce, honey and rice wine vinegar.

4

In a large bowl, combine the slaw mix, pear, mayonnaise and Japanese dressing. Season to taste.

5

In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over a high heat. Add the honey-soy marinade and simmer until reduced slightly, 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the sausages and turn to coat. TIP: The marinade will darken and caramelise, this adds to the flavour!

6

Divide the sesame fries between plates and with the pear slaw and honey-soy pork sausages. Spoon any excess sauce from the pan over the sausages.
